Process: Continuous extrusion with parison transfer
Continuous extrusion is recognized as the best process to get a multilayer parison with the most uniform distribution. When the item to be blown – either a packaging container or a fuel tank – features a large size, feeding the parison into the mould cavity by a robot becomes more convenient than shuttling a heavy carriage that holds a heavy mold: here is the continuous extrusion process with parison transfer. It is also recommended in some single layer applications, to achieve a shorter cycle time – if compared with accumulator head – when the extrusion speed must be low.
This process make it possible to produce up to 50 litre container with view stripe.
